UK News, Sport and Jobs It is Spring now in the UK, as in New Zealand we are putting the surfboards away and waxing the skis! Many people find the upside down seasons strange to get used to....
For those of us used to little choice of newspapers (one per city in NZ!), your first visit to a UK Newsagent can be a bit daunting – do I get the Times or the Telegraph? The Sun or the Mirror or the Mail?, the Independent or the Guardian? You will soon find your favourite read. Some papers like the Financial Times are very specialised and all target a slightly different reader profile. Every one is catered for - Right wing Conservatives, Left wing Liberals, readers who prefer pictures to stories etc! Most of the broadsheets have full employment sections - on different days of the week and some have a focus on certain areas (for example, The Guardian is strong for Education) Tabloids like the Sun and Mirror have good sports coverage but quality editorial content is somewhat limited! Here are some UK newspaper links. Telegraph on Line
